Hopkins supports both its faculty and industry as they work together: over the past few years, Hopkins has built an impressive set of research resources available for scientists from both academia and industry: biomedical imaging facilities, a Molecular Imaging Core, a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Core, a High Throughput Biology Center (including a brand-new chemical library screening facility), specialized tools and services for large-scale analysis of genetic variation and function, etc. In addition, Johns Hopkins is developing a growing and able medically trained work force: graduate students and post-docs, trained lab technicians, and many faculty members who enjoy consulting with industry.
A business park is growing alongside the Hopkins medical institutions in Baltimore. Hopkins also offers space for rent in its Montgomery County Campus. |
